To determine where to get started in Biblingo, consider which of the following best describes you:
You are a complete beginner and don't know the alphabet(s) yet. In this scenario, the answer is easy: you should start with the alphabet lesson and the accompanying alphabet flashcard decks. Here's a quick overview of how to learn the alphabet with Biblingo: How to learn the alphabet with Biblingo
βYou have some experience, but you are not able to read basic biblical texts with fluency (i.e. at a good pace, with minimal effort, and with comprehension). This could mean you're anywhere from having just learned the alphabet, all the way up to years or even decades of experience. Most learners of Greek and Hebrew fall into this bucket because most resources, while they may teach you a lot about the languages, don't help you develop fluency. In this scenario, you'll probably want to get started with the lessons. Regardless of how much experience you have, we recommend starting with the very first lesson. You will cover material you may have already learned, but it will help you develop fluency with the material, which is a prerequisite to being able to read biblical texts with fluency. Here are some tips on How to get the most out of Biblingo's lessons.
βYou are able to read at least basic biblical texts with fluency. Remember, by "fluency" we mean being able to read at a good pace, with minimal effort, and with comprehension. This would be something like reading at 100+ words per minute while comprehending 80%+ of the text. If you're unsure whether you're in this bucket or not, we highly recommend working through at least a couple lessons in the Language Learning module to see if you find it beneficial. If you feel confident that you're in this bucket, a good place to start would be the Bible Reading module (though the Language Learning module could still offer lots of helpful review).
