How to navigate Biblingo

Updated over 3 months ago

Biblingo has 4 main learning modules:

  1. Learn: The Learn tab includes our structured curriculum. The core of each lesson include Words, Sentences, and a Challenge. In addition, you will see some lessons with Patterns and Stories. This module can take you from the very basics of Greek and Hebrew all the way through all the grammar and vocabulary you need to know to begin reading the biblical text. On top of that, it gives you the practice you need to retain and even develop fluency with what you learn, so that you can read the biblical text with comprehension and enjoyment.

  2. Bank: The Bank is where you can go back and review Vocab, Stories, and Patterns several times to master what you've learned.
Preset Decks are decks that Biblingo has created to correspond to particular curricula, including our Biblingo lesson curriculum as well as various textbooks. Custom Decks are decks that you've created yourself, typically through the Read tab. Stories include all of the graded readings found as you progress through the Learn tab. Patterns are drills that allow you to develop fluency for partiuclar noun and verb forms as you learn them in the lessons.

  3. Review includes auto-generated review decks based on words that you've learned in the lessons and elsewhere in the app. These decks use a spaced repetition algorithm that prioritizes newer words and words that you're struggling with, while gradually spacing out how often you see older words that you're consistently getting correct.

  4. Read: The Bible reading module allows you to dive into the biblical text with a personalized experience. The main Reading tab provides the full biblical text in Greek and Hebrew, along with a built-in dictionary and parsing information. You can use the Bible Index to identify books and chapters of the Bible that are most readable to you based on the percentage of words that you know (i.e. words that you have learned in Biblingo or archived).
